Tunde has more than 21 years of experience in environmental conservation and International development, working in Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Netherlands and Canada. He also consulted briefly on environmental issues in oil and gas for the private sector. He has worked at leadership and management levels for the following organizations: Nigerian Conservation Foundation as the wetlands desk officer, World Wide Fund for Nature as the Asst. Freshwater officer, Wetlands International where he worked as the Global capacity building team lead based in the Netherlands, he also worked as Country Director for Oxfam Great Britain in Nigeria and more recently as the Deputy Country Director and Director of Operations for Save the Children in Nigeria.
Tunde brings extensive experience in leadership, program operations management, stakeholder engagement, capacity building, and advocacy. Tunde has led policy dialogues in East and West Africa that have led to relevant policy reviews and he has also established several training courses in many regions on wetlands management where a pool of young wetland scientists are trained on management of wetlands. He also co-designed the relevant training modules. Tunde has an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
