Sini Yakubu CIVIC’s Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in Nigeria. He is a Humanitarian and Development expert with over ten years of work experience in Monitoring and Evaluation. Previously he worked with the International Organization for Migration as a Data Tracking and Monitoring Officer, and with Creative Associate International as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer.
Sini has developed skills in community entry, data base management, data analysis, project evaluation, program design, and team building. He has worked with several stakeholders in conflict contexts, including the Nigeria police, Immigration, Nigeria Security & Civil Defense, government agencies, the military, civil society organizations, and community-based organizations at local and international levels.
Sini holds a Bsc. Degree in Biology with a Minor in Biostatistics from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. He is a certified DDR expert by Koffi Annan International Peace Training Center Accra Ghana, and he has certificates in Stabilization and Reintegration from Modibbo Adama University Yola, Managing People and Resources from African Managers Initiative Kenya, and Hazardous Environment Awareness from SPEARFISH International UK. He also holds a certificate in Peace and Conflict by USAID/OTI and has taken an advanced course in Monitoring & Evaluation by Creative Associate International. He is also an Alumni of the Mandela Washington Fellowship (YALI) and a professional member of the Monitoring and Evaluation Association Nigeria.
Sini is passionate about improving the lives of civilian populations and is optimistic that he will contribute to achieving this goal.
