Rose Ngalula Mbuyamba is the Financial Compliance Manager at CIVIC. Before joining CIVIC, Rose worked as a lawyer in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and is passionate about performing contract development and review.
She became a Research Officer at the Congolese Court of Auditors (Cour des Comptes) before being appointed as a Compliance Auditor in the same institution. She has many years of experience collecting and analyzing data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies. Her professional experience includes litigations, public relations, investigations, and project management with public corporations in the DRC and internship at the World Bank Corporate Legal Department in Washington DC. She came to the US as a Hubert Humphrey Fellow based at Michigan State University (CASID) where she earned a certificate of graduate studies and Professional Development in Economic Development.
She is also a great polyglot with fluency in English, French, Swahili, Tshiluba and Lingala.
She holds a Master’s in Law (LL.M) from University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.
