Oksana Kikot is CIVIC’s Deputy Country Director for Ukraine and previously served as CIVIC’s Senior Program Manager for Ukraine. She is responsible for providing support to the Ukraine Country Director, and partly to the Europe Program Director. Oksana is involved in the successful implementation of projects within the Ukraine and Europe portfolios, which includes all aspects of managing projects, day-to-day operational support, financial management, and grants administration.
Over the past fifteen years, Oksana served as a Project Director and Program and Project Manager for a number of technical assistance and development projects in Ukraine funded by the Government of Canada, USAID, the European Commission, C.S. Mott Foundation etc. Prior to joining CIVIC, Oksana was the Ukrainian Project Manager at Canadian Bureau for International Education. In that role, she managed two 5-year technical assistance projects in Ukraine, funded by the Global Affairs Canada, which supported Ukraine in increasing equitable access to justice for vulnerable groups, and building modern and professional public service. Oksana has extensive experience in working with national and international non-governmental organizations as well as the Ukrainian government (including Ministry of Justice of Ukraine and the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service) in the areas of legal aid provision systems development; civil service human resources management reform; civil society, local self-government and central government institutional capacity development; community engagement; promoting citizen engagement in anti-corruption activities; and development of corporate social responsibility.
Oksana graduated from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (Kyiv, Ukraine) and holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts degree.
