Mohamed Nuh Abdille is Safety and Security Officer for CIVIC East Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Kenya University and diploma in criminology at Kenya Institute of studies in Criminal justice. He brings a wealth of knowledge in the security sector with over 13 years of experience having worked with the National Police service of Kenya and various humanitarian organizations in Kenya and Somalia. He recently worked with UNHCR as Field Security Associate based in the port city of Kismayu, Somalia, and before that he was Country Safety Coordinator with the Danish Refugee Council in Nairobi. Mohamed has extensively worked in Kenya particularly along the Somalia border and facilitated program delivery while ensuring staff safety and security. In his various roles he provided leadership, played critical role during crisis situations, and conducted safety training to staff to enhance their response, resilience and adapt to their new environment.
