Michael Kleinman is the founder of Orange Door Research, a company that specializes in high-frequency data collection in developing countries and emerging markets. Prior to this, he was Director of Investments at Humanity United, where he oversaw the organization’s grant-making in West Africa, as well as on issues related to technology and human rights. He worked overseas for international NGOs—first with CARE in Afghanistan, Sudan, and in a regional position covering east and central Africa, and then with International Relief and Development in Iraq.

Prior to going overseas, he worked for the Harvard Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research, leading a project on the application of international humanitarian law to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Michael is a graduate of Yale University and Harvard Law School.
