Kateryna is a Protection Officer with CIVIC’s Ukraine team. She worked at the international non-governmental organization, SOS Children’s Villages, in the field of child protection at starting in 2015, and in 2017 worked as a field mentor, facilitator, and protection specialist at the Swiss Foundation, Terre des Hommes. Her work involved psycho-social support for children and adults affected in the Donbas military conflict.

Throughout her career, Kateryna helped to implement a variety of projects jointly with the UNDP, which aimed to establish a dialogue among civilians in conflict communities.

Since 2005, she has been working as a lecturer at the Department of Social Work of Lugansk Taras Shevchenko National University. She has a PhD of Social Work and a Bachelor of Laws.

Kateryna’s sphere of interest includes youth work, dialogues, and protection of the rights of vulnerable groups.
