Kate Raley is the Communications Associate at Center for Civilians in Conflict. Prior to joining CIVIC, Kate worked for the US Fund for UNICEF as a Global Citizenship Fellow. At UNICEF, her work focused on community engagement and advocacy regarding anti-human trafficking programs, child refugees, immunization and health initiatives, and the protection of women and children in conflict zones. Past work includes research on the international legality of drone warfare and the US UAV program, as well as work with the Congressional House subcommittees on Counterterrorism and Transportation Security.
Kate holds a BS in political science and a BA international studies from the University of Oklahoma, and an MA in international relations and international economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
