Emma is a Program Associate on the Africa team. Prior to joining CIVIC, Emma worked at the Public International Law and Policy Group, a pro bono law firm which aims to strengthen the rule of law globally by supporting peace negotiations and transitional justice processes. There, she worked on human rights documentation and peacebuilding programs in Bangladesh, Sudan, and Yemen. Emma holds a joint-honours degree in International Relations and Modern History from the University of St Andrews, with a focus on post-conflict transition and peacebuilding in post-colonial environments.
