Chris Pearson is a Senior Program Manager at CIVIC with 10 years’ experience in international development programming in MENA, Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa. He specializes in areas such as civil society, women and youth empowerment, economic development, and global health.

From 2009-2015, he served as a Program Manager at Counterpart International, an award-winning global non-for-profit organization based in Arlington, Virginia focused on civil society programming in Africa, the former Soviet Union, Afghanistan, and the Middle East. In 2015, he Joined TechnoServe, Inc. as a Senior Analyst for the Southern Africa region, providing grants and contracts management support to the region’s 6 country offices. There, he engaged with the EU, DFID, IrishAid, GTZ, and other donor organizations to implement a complex economic development and poverty-reduction programs.

He is a graduate of Old Dominion University, where he received a BA and MA in International Relations and George Washington University where he studied Emergency Management and Public Health.
