Ari is the Program Manager for CIVIC’s U.S. Program. Prior to joining CIVIC, Ari was a Herbert J. Scoville Peace Fellow at the Stimson Center’s South Asia Program, where she worked on wargaming and virtual engagements. She has also worked as a Brumley Fellow in State Fragility at the Strauss Center for International Security and Law, where she studied how personal law reform in South Asia shaped political violence. Ari holds an M.A in Middle Eastern Studies and a B.A in International Relations and Global Studies with a Persian minor, both from the University of Texas. She was a Persian Critical Language Scholar in Dushanbe, Tajikistan and is currently an Emerging Expert with the Forum on the Arms Trade.
