Annie is the Protection Innovation Fellow with CIVIC’s US Program, where she conducts research and advocacy on the civilian harm implications of US military operations and security sector assistance. Concurrently serving as Research Program Manager in humanitarian response and civilian protection at Stanford University, Annie also leads CIVIC’s partnership with Stanford, exploring the implications of future war scenarios for civilians, civilian protection in Latin America, and the second- and third-order effects of conflict. Prior to working with CIVIC, Annie served at the US Department of State, where she worked on civilian protection, security sector reform, and countering violent extremism as a founding member of DRL’s Office of Security and Human Rights. She is also a Truman National Security Fellow.¬†Annie holds a Master of International Policy from Stanford University and a BA in International Development from McGill University.
