Ahmed Jassim is the the Country Operation Manager for CIVIC in Baghdad. Ahmad worked with the humanitarian international organizations since 2003. He worked for Mercy Corps (MC) for fourteen years in different positions performing different responsibilities. He started as a field Procurement Officer, before being promoted to a Procurement Manager, and finally the Operation Manger in Baghdad. As an expat, He worked in two different countries: in Afghanistan as an Operation Specialist and in Libya as a Project Manager. Afterwards, he worked as Baghdad’s Head of MC Office, as the main liaison between the program staff and the operation team.
At the end of October 2017, he worked for over a year as a Conflict Sensitivity and Gender Advisor with the British Council and with USAID. This expertise enabled him to provide and apply various training programs in the fields of conflict management, facilitation skills and operation.
